Abilities
Character Abilities: Murderbot is an android, a combination of human parts and highly advanced robotics. It's designed for security, so it has superhuman speed and strength, and can take some pretty heavy damage and survive (including, technically, detaching its limbs, but it doesn't generally do that since it's pretty inconvenient). It can turn down it's pain sensors, does not need food or water (and only needs a small amount of oxygen), switch it's eyesight to night vision, and so forth. Its biomechanical brain also processes information much faster than humans do, allows it to store large amounts of information (a significant portion of its onboard storage is TV shows/movies/books/etc), and can juggle multiple inputs at once (so it's often watching TV while also doing its job). In canon it can wirelessly connect with other systems, including “the feed”, which is basically the Internet.
Character Skills: Coding and hacking. Data analysis. Extensive knowledge of soap operas. Its friends think it's a good writer.
Approach
What interests you most about playing this character in this game? The setting is similar enough to Murderbot's canon that it'll feel pretty familiar, so in some ways it will fit in well. However, the fantasy themes and the acquisition of new abilities/powers is enough to push it out of its comfort zone. Also, the “acts of mutual cooperation” stuff for Synthesis will make it hilariously uncomfortable, since it's emotionally constipated and fairly touch-averse.
How do you see your character adjusting to/approaching the game world? Murderbot approaches most everything with extreme caution and paranoia, and the facts that it will be unable to hack most/all systems and that the energy weapons in its arms will be offline won't make it feel any safer. (The tattoo will also be an issue – it dislikes anything with logos on it, because it already has logos permanently on its body, and they mark it as property instead of an individual.) On the other hand, the existence of a healthy bot culture and the prospect of new TV shows/movies/books/games will be exciting.
What do you see your character finding most interesting about the setting/game premise? At first: all of the tech that goes into the setting, and how the natives use it and its fellow Otherworlders adapt to it. As a machine intelligence specializing in hacking and security, it's always interested in what technology is being used where.
Eventually: the concept of it, a bot/human hybrid, being able to create “life energy” in the form of Bios. Murderbot is very aware that it's a person, a living being who deserves autonomy and rights; but for a vast majority of its life, it's been treated as an object, not even 'alive' enough to deserve to be rescued when damaged. So, despite it knowing that logically it should be treated like a person, it consistently expects not to be, and in some ways rebels against the idea of it due to its internalized self-loathing. Accepting that it's just like its fellow Otherworlders (at least in this respect) will be a good exercise in learning to accept itself.

Anything else?
if it's ok, Murderbot will be coming in with three (3) intel drones, which are basically just little flying cameras that it can control to observe things remotely/look at people without having to actually look at them/set up security perimeters/etc. (I've picked 3 because it has at least that many in its current canon-point, but if that's too many, at least 1 would be appreciated – in some ways they're extensions of its own self. Dr. Mensah explains their function as “a medical issue, that I [Murderbot] needed them to fully interact with my environment and communicate”.)ACCEPTED!

Additional Notes: Outside its living quarters, Murderbot finds a sleek, unassuming package with a note attached that reads, "To the connoisseur of media and master of self-determination." Inside, there's a custom-designed, compact media server pre-loaded with an expansive library of Magisteria's finest entertainment – dramas, comedies, documentaries, and more, including some rare, unreleased episodes of Sanctuary Moon that can't be found anywhere else in the galaxy. This server is not just any media device; it's equipped with the latest in adaptive AI tech, capable of analyzing and predicting Murderbot's viewing preferences to suggest content it might enjoy or hadn't considered.
The note concludes: "May this gift serve as a bridge between your worlds and ours, offering both an escape and a reflection. Welcome to Magisteria, where even an introverted SecUnit can find a place to call home. Enjoy your stay, and remember, here you're not just an observer of stories – you're also a creator of your own." As with the other gifts, it may have other technological properties not yet revealed!
