Magisteria is a public game. Applications are currently indefinitely open, and this page will be updated if that changes.

Players may apply for two (2) characters in one app round/month and five (5) characters in total.

Abilities

Character Abilities: Honestly it might be more informative to link her trailers than the wiki. Here's the wiki, though. Monodrama trailer. Behind the Curtain trailer. Sparkling Tricks trailer. She can definitely summon goldfish made of light of various sizes and disguise herself as other people. Judging by her idle animations, she can also physically demanifest except for her mask, and pop back into existence from her mask alone. Ability to fake her own corpse may be a regain outside of the virtual world, lol.
Character Skills: Consummate actor, good at cold-reading for weaknesses.

Approach

What interests you most about playing this character in this game?
Gonna fuck with EVERYONE. Bouncing her off of people is so much fun. It is probably possible for her to find something to do that's entertaining enough that she wants to do things other than cause intense chaos.

How do you see your character adjusting to/approaching the game world?
She doesn't know where the foundations and levers are of everything yet, so she's not going to go straight to civil unrest. She's most invested in people having the freedom to be interesting--I'm pretty sure she was on Penacony in the first place because the Elation did not want Gopher Wood's plans to succeed and make a whole star system permanently boring.

What do you see your character finding most interesting about the setting/game premise?
There are a lot of different types of people and a lot of potential conflicts to stoke between them! Both in terms of PCs and in terms of NPCs. Technology vs Magic, FIGHT!

Additional Notes: When Sparkle next opens the door to her quarters, she will discover a beautifully wrapped package shimmering with a faint, otherworldly glow. The package is a gift from the native inhabitants, serving as their unofficial greeting. Inside, she finds an exquisite sketchbook bound in soft, enchanted leather, its cover adorned with intricate celestial patterns and glimmering stardust.

This enchanted sketchbook is tailored to Sparkle’s creative flair and artistic passion. It offers a unique feature: each blank page has the ability to come alive with Sparkle’s drawings, transforming them into three-dimensional, animated scenes. The sketchbook also contains occasional magical prompts that inspire new ideas and techniques, guiding Sparkle to explore the limitless possibilities of her art.

Alongside the sketchbook, there is a set of enchanted drawing tools. These include magical inks and pens, each labeled with its unique properties. Some inks can shift colors based on the time of day, while others can imbue the drawings with subtle magical effects, such as soft illumination or gentle movement.

The note accompanying this gift reads:
